This is my favourite season of One Tree Hill for many reasons;
1. So many events critical to the storyline of the programme happen in this series.
2. A few new characters are introduced, and we get to know the existing ones even better.
3. This show is amazing!
I really loved watching this series on DVD, and would definitely recommend it. There are six discs of episodes plus deleted scenes on every disc.
The storyline for this series is extremely good; it kept me guessing and some parts definitely surprised me, but in a good way.
I have been watching the fifth series of One Tree Hill on E4 for about 2months now, and though series 4 is still my favourite, I think that the fifth one will turn out to be great, too.
I would recommend buying this boxset - I do not think you will be disappointed.
the film is great and it deserves a grammy. great actors in the film. i love the cats. good old documentary we have here. the making of snitsky's pineapple and many more.
buy it with paris hiltons album. paris hilton even promoted this on mtv. she is a great singer. buy her album to day. and tine tuner's album. buy all 3 for just 2 pence.
It just doesn't get better than this- as good if not better than season 1
My only problem is that you cant always understand what they're saying while they're singing so i had to figure the plot out by other means. loved it though, would give it 4 1/2 if i could
This is a collection of challenges with our favourite team of car presenters and their house-trained racing driver. If you're a fan of the Top Gear programs, you need this on DVD.
The video is crystal clear, the sound is good, and there are English subtitles if you need them. You also get the interviews/laps by Lewis Hamilton and Simon Cowell, but don't be fooled by the "extended interviews" tag. They're just the normal interviews the way they appeared on TV. The other extras are for hard-core enthusiasts, but not really necessary if you prefer watching the program and the guys interacting rather than the cars.
The one drawback I wil mention is that the MUSIC is different from the one used in the TV show. Due to the unique way in which the BBC is funded, they were able to use a variety of movie soundtracks and collections on the show. But since this DVD is a commercial thing, they had to change all the music. And while the TV show music blokes know what they're doing... the guys who did this don't. In short, the music was better on the show.
This spectacular new Special Edition includes brand new featurettes and contains exciting new interactive material that will take you into the very heart of Dickens' London and the musical world of Oliver!. Packed with unmissable features including quizzes, sing-alongs and dance-alongs, this DVD will allow the whole family to experience the magic of Oliver! as never before this Christmas.
Lionel Bart's hit musical of Dickens' classic tale was directed by film legend Carol Reed (The Third Man, Our Man in Havana) and features an impeccable cast, including Ron Moody, Harry Secombe, Oliver Reed, Jack Wild and a young Mark Lester as orphan Oliver. The brilliant cast, heartfelt score and stunning choreography earned Oliver! an incredible six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Young Oliver (Lester) is an orphan who escapes the cheerless life of the workhouse and takes to the streets of 19th century London. He's immediately taken in by a band of street urchins, headed by the lovable villain, Fagin (Moody), his fiendish henchman, Bill Sikes (Reed) and his loyal apprentice, The Artful Dodger (Wild). Through his education in the fine points of pick-pocketing, Oliver makes away with an unexpected treasure...a home and a family of his own.
Brendan Fraser is King of the late late 80's to mid 90's type of action/adventure film for the whole family to enjoy. There's no blood, no real violence but good clean enjoyable fun with great special FX.
The story makes fun of itself by aknowledging the orginal book and by saying that he was documenting real facts and so off go our trio of adventurers to find out. From there its non stop action and some cheesey dialogue but that's what family adventure films are all about.
The 3D glasses are fun to try but technology hasn't really came on leaps and bounds but its a worthwhile watch once or twice just to say you've done it and some of the 3d moments are very well done - if not the best 3d effects I've seen.
Overall its silly but its fun and it doesn't take itself too seriously. Fans of The Mummy films and the latest Indy film will feel right at home.
Father Ted is one of these things you can watch over and over again, and laugh each time. Whether your waiting at the airport, or just at home with a cup of coffee, it never fails to make you smile.
Along with all 25 episodes, there are commentries from Graham Linehan (writer), Arthur Mathews (other writer) and Ardal O'Hanlon (Dougal). As well as that there is "Ted and Dougal Do Comic Relief", "Ted Fest 2007: A Very Ted Weekend and Two Tribes Go to War" "Interview with the Writers (Part 1 & 2)", "Dougal's Soundtrack" and "Comedy Connections" to name but a few.
As for the actual comedy, you can't get much better. The swearing isn't vulgar and the gags are never cheap. Professional actors aren't missed, as Dermot Morgan and Ardal O'Hanlon's humour makes up for it.
Buy it! Ah go on. Go on, go on, go on, go on...
The tale of 'Penelope' is an interesting modern twist on fairy story romances... with an emphasis on 'noses' rather than 'tails', as the title character (the first-born female in her bloodline since an ancestor betrayed a witch's kin) is the luckless recipient of a generations-old curse: and has the snout of a pig in place of a nose. To break the curse upon herself, Penelope must find and marry a blue-blood. But, much to her parents' consternation, Penelope - who, because of her deformity, has been hidden away from the world for her whole life - is more interested in forming friendships than she is in breaking the curse.
When a con-man turned suitor (McAvoy in dishevelled splendour) breaks her heart, Penelope sets out to discover the world for herself.
This is a charming film, with endearing performances from Christina Ricci, James McAvoy and Reese Witherspoon (as Penelope's friend in exile). However, although it is pitched as a fairy tale story and has a PG rating (and certainly doesn't merit anything more in regards to content), 'Penelope' is not ideal for the 6-10 year old audience I bought it for after seeing it advertised. I thought the film, though slow-moving and at times quite sophisticated (e.g. in some scenes 'Penelope' is shown implicitly getting rapidly drunk in a bar... using a straw under her face-concealing scarf) was enjoyable, but aimed more at over 10's/teenagers than younger kids.
This is an amazing film, top notch i have seen all of the trilogy and this film is possibly the best, ignore any one who has rated this 1 star and has said they have only watched 30min of it, the film goes on for awhile but that makes it all the better in my opinion, the cast is amazing as always with even more new characters, the effects are quality and has a great story, i strongly recomend this to any one who loves the other two films and has not watched this film yet, and to any film lover, because i think any one can enjoy this, but would be an easier watch if the first two films were watched first, but this is one of the best trilogy's ever made, if not the best.
